Virginia Marie Carter
Virginia Marie Carter (born September 22, 1963) is an American actress, writer, and producer. She is best known for her roles as Dr. Kimberly Shaw on the soap opera Days of Our Lives (1992–1998) and as Jennifer Hunter on the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful (2004–2006).
Carter was born in New York City, New York. She began her acting career in the early 1990s, appearing in guest roles on several television series, including Law & Order, NYPD Blue, and Melrose Place. In 1992, she was cast as Dr. Kimberly Shaw on Days of Our Lives. Shaw was a popular character, and Carter won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 1995. She left the show in 1998.
